Procurement Analyst

Our client is a leading manufacturing company for cosmetics, pharma, & cleaning products. We are looking for a procurement analyst with 2-5 years experience CPG industry.

Working Location: Concord
Salary: Up to $85K

• Manage activities related to the issuance of goods and services contracts in Canada and USA.
• Provide guidance to plants pertaining to the management of new supplier transitions.
• Direct and maintain a customer service focus for the department through site visits, timely follow-up and regular interaction and communication with the internal customers.
• In collaboration with the Procurement Director, establish annual objectives and ensure their accomplishment.
• A strong focus on achievement of annual savings objectives is imperative.
• Provide specialized technical/professional expertise relating to Procurement functioning as a technical specialist.
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with suppliers to manage the quality and delivery on larger, more complex contracts with cross-functional impacts.
• Chemical, raw material and component sourcing Procurement systems Raw Material & Component Supply Demand management/Inventory levels Leverage supplier negotiations Lead business planning cycle for raw material category.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to support business objectives as required.
• Manage supplier performance and share feedback for continuous improvements of KPIs Analyze spend and identify margin enhancement opportunities
• Evaluate supplier quotations and develop negotiation strategies focused on improving our competitive position in the market place.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and other contractual issues with suppliers Leverage volume to provide cost-effective solutions while maintaining acceptable inventory levels 

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years practical procurement experience with a University Degree/College Diploma is required
• Experience purchasing chemicals a must
• Must have experience on data analysis and direct interaction with suppliers
• Experience with JDEdwards, E1 is an asset
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with a customer service focus
• The ability to maintain confidentiality and interact professionally with diplomacy and tact is a must
• Well developed negotiation skills and experience are required
