Lead Maintenance Electrician

Our client is a leading automotive parts manufacturing company.

MAIN DUTIES AND ACTIVITES:

·         Co-ordinate and distribute work to maintenance staff on the shift and ensure that all work is carried out in a safe manner

·         Prioritize work by level of urgency, driven by production and delivery schedules

·         Update Maintenance Supervisor on significant information pertaining to any urgent situations

·         Update and manage team work order status pertaining to demand maintenance and projects and adhere to committed completion dates

·         Monitor team members response to breakdowns

·         Communicate performance issues of team members (both positive and negative) to the maintenance supervisor

·         Carry cell phone at all times during working and respond to all calls in a professional manner

·         Attend all maintenance meetings and contribute to these meetings with valuable input whenever possible

·         Ensure that all P/M’s are carried out in a timely manner and that they do not fall into the overdue status

·         Complete performance appraisal of team members with maintenance Supervisor

·         Attends training based on the company's Internal Training Matrix

·         Works in a safe manner and adheres to the company's policies and procedures

·         Any other reasonable request by management

·         Utilizes effective Housekeeping Practices

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Industrial Trade certification as Industrial Electrician,

·         Minimum 8 years hands on experience in a Manufacturing Environment

·         Ability to supervise and coordinate daily activities and projects of maintenance team members

·         Good English (both written and verbal) communication skills,

·         Excellent knowledge and understanding of Hydraulic and pneumatic fundamentals and principals

·         Ability to coordinate and maintain Scheduled PM completion

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Previous Supervisory experience an asset

·         PLC certification an asset

·         Robotic applications and programming experience would be an asset

Pay range: $32 - $35/hr
