Die Cutter Operator (Concord, ON) Please send resume to: resume2013@gc-employment.com with a subject "Die Cutter Operator" and apply online at www.gc-employment.com Description: Responsible for the performance of manual tasks in the set up, maintenance, and operation of die cut equipment to accurately produce to customer specifications Duties: -- Sets up and operates die cutting machines for each order according to customer specifications. Removes cut parts from die or bed of machine. Measures parts with rule or compares parts with standard to verify conformance to specifications. -- Repairs and adjusts die cutting machine when it is not running properly. -- Observe and monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions and to determine whether adjustments are needed -- Performs routine adjustments during the press run and maintain production throughout the run -- Maintain records of daily production, using specified forms -- Train workers to set up, operate and use machines -- Performs other job duties as assigned Qualifications: -- Experience with die cutting in a corrugated industry -- Knowledge of Bobst die cutting equipment preferred -- Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. -- Must have the ability to perform basic arithmetic including additions, subtraction, multiplication and division. -- Must be able to maintain good attendance. -- Demonstrates knowledge of size and location when beginning the nicking process. -- Must be able to maintain good attendance. -- Must have forklift experience Shift and Compensation: -- Dayshift: Monday – Thursday 5am – 3pm -- Starting at 20/hr and after 3 months could go up to 23/hr. -- Shift rotation may be required.
