Description:
Responsible for the performance of manual tasks in the set up, maintenance, and operation of die cut equipment to
accurately produce to customer specifications
Duties:
-- Reads job specifications and previous run data (if available) to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
-- Ensures job and material is in order prior to machine set up. Performs set up and pushes button to activate laminator.
-- Observes machine operation to detect defects or machine malfunction. Makes corrections to alleviate out of specification product.
-- Meets or exceeds prescribed job standards for line speeds, scrap and set up times.
-- Performs minor machine maintenance; reports any necessary maintenance to the engineering department using a written work order.
-- Follow all standard operating procedures relevant to the job, position and department
-- Performs routine adjustments during the press run and maintain production throughout the run
-- Performs all assigned work effectively and on schedule
-- Follow instructions accurately
-- Maintain records of daily production, using specified forms and data entry notes in to computer system
-- Record production information such as amount of time spent on specific tasks
-- Keeps work area neat and clean
-- Open machines and remove/replace damaged product, using hand tools
-- Train workers to set up, operate and use machines
-- Daily/weekly/monthly maintenance and troubleshooting
-- Coordinate efforts as part of the team to provide assistance to all co-workers (in all departments) as needed to maximize production efficiencies
-- Follow established department policies, procedures, work instructions and safety and environmental guidelines
-- Performs other job duties as assigned
Qualifications:
-- Experience with working corrugated lamination machine
-- Experience with both single board and combine board
-- Must be able to multi-task in a fast pace environment
-- Must be able to pass a basic reading test.
-- Experience with 10pt – 12pt sheets
-- Experience with Litho Graphic 80 – 100 pounds
-- Must be able to maintain good attendance.
-- Must have forklift experience (Clamp truck)
Shift:
-- Dayshift: Monday – Thursday 5am – 3pm
-- Shift rotation is required
