Bilingual Accounts Payable Clerk

We are hiring a Bilingual Accounts Payable Clerk for our client, a leading bank in Montreal.

Responsibilities:
- invoice reconciliations and data entry
- review the invoice
- understanding of the tax applications within Canada and some Tax applications (HST, QST, etc).
- US tax – Non-resident etc.  (only a basic understanding of these terms is required)
- entering supplier number and invoice number - suppliers : all external vendors – anything that falls outside of capital spend
- knowledge of accounting terms (understanding of invoice terminology)
- in-depth knowledge of accounts payable functionality
- NOT customer facing
- managing quotas
- *flexibility on start times*

Requirements:
- Minimum of a Highschool degree and Associates Degree in accounting
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting/accounts payable – demonstrated
- Understanding of invoice requirements
- Knowledge of Canadian taxes for each province
- Bilingual French and English(written and spoken 10/10
- Proactive and productive
- Experience in a production environment
- Extremely versatile and adaptable to new technologies is paramount

pay rate: $17.88/hour

Hours: M-F 9-5
