Electrician

Leading Food & Beverages company is hiring Electrician for Continental Shift, responsible for all installation or dismantling machinery and plant equipment.

• Continental Shift: 7am to 7pm; 7pm to 7am, every two weeks rotation
• Working in Mississauga
• Direct Hire, Full-time

Duties and responsibilities:

• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment, will provide measurable improvements and enhancements to controls and systems.
• Responsible for programmable controls, numeral controls, power supplies, drives, gages and test equipment and specialized test systems and methods.
• Plans and performs complex corrective and preventative maintenance requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles
• Master the basics of the CMMS system utilized at the plant (i.e. SAP-PM) and become knowledgeable with system reporting and work order systems and methods – gaps will be identified and a formal improvement plan developed and put into place.
• Optimize and effectively accomplish all work and work orders (from break down to condition-based) and lead in the development of rules and controls over the planning and scheduling efforts.
• Support and train Maintenance Supervisors and Technicians on the planning and scheduling systems (SAP-PM / CMMS) to plan and schedule maintenance activities

Skills/Qualifications:

• Interprovincial Journeyman License, Dual Ticket – Electrician/Millwright an asset
• Electrician Journeymen or equivalent in the field of mechanical/electrical engineering and/or industrial, mechanical, electrical PLC (Systems and Controls)
• 5+ years combined professional experience in the field of mechanical/electrical engineering and/or industrial mechanical /electrical / PLC (support certification & experience) / Controls systems maintenance planning
  Allen Bradley Rockwell training and certification.
• Must be willing and able to work a rotating shift schedule.
