HR Generalist / Human Resources

Our client, a fast-growing engineering resources company, is hiring Human Resources Generalist to join the team as soon as possible.

This position is responsible for the delivery of a variety of HR and Safety policies, programs and procedures that will ensure not only the company’s legislative compliance obligations are met but the employee experience is best in class and the HR function delivers an optimal and efficient service partnership to business stakeholders.

Working Location: Casa Grande, Arizona.

Job Duties:

  • Provide leadership and coaching to managers and employees on key workplace matters such as performance management, employee relations, and employee development.
  • Act as a strategic and operational business partner to supervisors and managers.
  • Promote an open-door policy and communicate effectively with all levels of employees.
  • Proactively identify recruitment needs and coordinate all aspects of recruitment, including job postings, sourcing recruitment methods, interviewing candidates, reference checks and providing employment offers.
  • Ensure the new hire orientation process properly introduces new employees to plant and corporate culture.
  • Maintain fairness, equity and respect in the workplace.
  • Actively promote, follow, and enforce all security and safety practices.
  • Respond to employee and management requests in a timely manner.
  • Payroll and benefits administration, including preparing payroll files for processing.
  • Oversee the administration of the performance management process.
  • Observes safety and security procedures; determines appropriate action beyond guidelines, adheres to OSHA regulations and guidelines.
  • Health and safety leadership and participation.
  • Support and deliver department related to KPI’s (turnover, absenteeism, recruitment, etc.).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as an HR Generalist preferably in the automotive manufacturing industry (or light/medium manufacturing).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources. A combination of the relevant fields of study and experience will be considered. PHR or SHRM-CP Certification is preferred.
  • Experience working with Federal, State and Local labour and employment laws, workers’ compensation, FMLA, ADA, and OSHA.
  • Experience with principles and procedures for recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, employee relations, counselling and coaching management and HRIS systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Highly computer literate with capability in MS Office and related business and communication tools.
  • Fantastic organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, attention to detail.
