Program Manager

Our client, a fast-growing engineering resources company, is hiring Program Manager to join the team as soon as possible.

This position is responsible for improving the competitiveness and profitability of the company by ensuring timeliness and continuous improvement in current and future programs; ensure that processes are in control to produce parts in the most efficient manner in terms of equipment, cycle, cost, material, etc.

Working Location: Casa Grande, Arizona.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all aspects of program management including prototypes, preproduction samples, production start-up, customer launch, and monitoring overall program throughout production.
• Establishes the appropriate processes and procedures to achieve reliable and efficient moulding and metal stamping production. Ensuring the product is being manufactured to all engineering, customer and manufacturing specifications.
• Qualifying new molds for production and continues to mature the process.
• Consulting on and resolving quality issues as they arise.
• Ensures complete and accurate documentation of injection mold processes by mold and press.
• Maintaining open communication with various interacting departments including other divisions, as necessary.
• Being primary point of communication interface with the customer for the respective program.
• Provide customer presentations and technical support on new product launches both within the company and with the customer.
• Investigating, analyzing, and presenting cost-saving projects.
• Preparing engineering and manufacturing feasibility and prepare quotes for new and existing programs.
• Lead continuous improvement projects.
• Assist in training Process Technicians.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Over 3 years automotive related manufacturing engineering or program management experience.
• Must have experience in a plastic injection moulding manufacturing environment, preferred experience in metal stamping industry.
• University Degree or College Diploma in a related discipline.
• Experience with dimensional measuring and strong math skills.
• Solid intermediate plus computer skills: Windows, Excel and Word.
• Strong team player who takes initiative to identify, investigate, problem solve and make recommendations to resolve problems.
• Able to work overtime as required.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles required.
• Good communication, organizational, time management skills.
• Good knowledge of Statistical Process Control.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO/TS 16949.
• Maintain a valid passport and flexible to travel to customer sites in North America and abroad.
