A leading food manufacturing company is looking for Maintenance Technicians to perform preventative and predictive maintenance on all production and packaging equipment.
Duties:
- Perform mechanical or electrical installation, modification, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of equipment, utilities, systems and or facilities in accordance with established SOPs, GMP guidelines and EH&S policies.
- Perform all preventative maintenance procedures according to the established schedule, coordinating parts and service as required.
- Identify, recommend and implement improvements to line procedures, equipment, utilities, systems and/or facilities to enhance the productivity, quality or safety of products, processes and/or procedures.
- Perform operational checks on equipment and systems. Detect and investigate variance in performance of equipment, utilities, systems and facilities to ensure proper functioning.
- Coordinate, recommend and initiate purchase orders for parts, equipment or spare parts inventory.
- Complete required compliance documentation, logbooks, timesheets, etc. when executing duties.
- Ensure that maintenance or repair of production equipment, facilities, systems and utilities are carried out in a timely manner with an appropriate sense of urgency.
- Respond to "off" hours emergencies as required and be on scheduled "on call" rotation as well as provide essential services coverage during plant shutdowns and Statutory holidays as required.
- Passes on information, experience and knowledge to other maintenance employees in regards to repair jobs, preventative maintenance problem solving, etc which was received during their shift.
- Understands established quality standards and performs quality checks as needed.
- Actively identifies new areas for learning and utilizes newly gained knowledge and skills on the job.
- Ensuring Boilers, Ammonia/Air Compressors start up-monitor & checked, with written recordings logged as per internal and statutory requirements.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications / Certifications:
- Must pass Company provided test.
- Previous experience as a Tradesman an asset
- Must have a Millwright license
- Class “B” Refrigeration license is an asset
- Licensed Electrician or Stationary Eng. 4, 3 license are assets.
Afternoon shift between 2pm to 12am.
