Shipper / Machine Operator, Summerstown, ON, Cornwall, ON

Our client, a leading manufacturer of food packaging, has the below urgent openings:

Location: Summerstown, ON

Position type: Temp to Perm

1) Shipper / Regrind Operator

Pay rate: $20/hr

Shift: Evening (3pm to 11pm, Mon to Fri)

Qualifications: Must have a valid forklift license, with previous 6 months min experience in driving forklift and machine operation.

2) Operator

Shift:  Evening (3pm to 11pm, Mon to Fri) OR Rotating (12-hour Continental)

Pay rate: $17.85/hr (evening), $19/hr + night shift prem (rotational)

Qualifications:

• High School completion required
• Less than 6 months manufacturing experience
• Math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide), use fractions, decimals etc. Able to use calculator to determine percentages.
• Mechanical aptitude and understanding mechanical systems.
• Basic troubleshooting skills to resolve minor machine issues relating to its operation
• Understanding of production measurement tools such as level, etc.
• Detailed record keeping

Referral Bonus:  $300 if the referred person works over 350 consecutive hours (valid until Dec 31, 2020)
