Team lead - Packaging company - Summerstown, ON, Cornwall, ON

Our client, a leading manufacturer of food packaging, is hiring for a Team lead to join their team ASAP!

Location: Summerstown, ON

Position type: Temp to Perm

Shift:

• Day shift 7am - 3pm (Monday to Friday)
• Afternoon 3pm - 11pm (Monday to Friday)

Pay rate: $23/hr 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow company policies and procedures, relating to safety, quality, good manufacturing practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise 10 to 25 employees.
• Coordinate with the Production Scheduler to ensure daily production requirements are achieved.
• Ensure safety programs are effectively implemented, reviewed regularly, revised as necessary.
• Take part in daily production meets as required.
• Complete quality product checks on a timed interval basis. For identified quality, issues seek assistance from mechanics, maintenance or tooling.

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• 2+ years of manufacturing / supervisory experience.
• Good verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Good computer skills.
• SAP experience preferred.
