Divisional Operations Planning Director in Concord

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

10+ years of progressive and successful operations planning experience, preferably for a manufacturing company with management experience.

Ability to lead, manage, influence and coach the Operations Planning Team, both at Head Quarters and production plants.

With 10+ years solid experience and knowledge on all elements of Operations Planning, including: MRPII (MPS, MRP, CRP, DRP, Production scheduling and control) and Demand Planning (Forecasting and Order Management), ERP, Demand Management, OLAP and related application systems.

Proficient with planning systems and solid understanding of how planning parameters impact system recommendations.  Demonstrates a high level of accountability and ownership of a quality processes and plans.

With 5+ years of experience in managing and facilitating S&OP and with solid accomplishments.

With 5+ years experience in managing performance metrics and master data. 

Strong analytical, detail and result oriented with demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, complexity and work within a fast paced, dynamic environment. Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.

Proactive and forward thinking with well developed inter-personal skills. 5+ years experience as change agent with Six-sigma or other business process re-engineering experience.

Ability to work independently and effectively with all levels of the organization.

Strong presentation and facilitation skill.

Bachelor degree (in Business Administration, industrial engineering or equivalent) and APICS CPIM is a must. MBA or other Supply Chain education is an asset.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides leadership, direction and administration for the Operations Planning teams which perform the following functions: demand planning, production planning, and supply chain analysis for both Toronto Headquarters and North American production sites.

Develops, leads and facilitates S&OP process with the provision of the following information: performance metrics, product life cycle analysis, forecast, production capability, supply plan, deviation and gap analysis. Reaches consensus on monthly production plans, planning parameters, business rules, customer service level and continuous improvement plans.

Conduct supply chain and operations analysis to monitor performance and diagnose operations issues – maintain the supply chain story board for management review. Initiates and leads change and continuous improvement initiatives for the operations planning processes.

Facilitate the monthly S&OP process to review supply chain performance, identifies deviations for improvements, and reaches consensus on monthly production plan.

Develop monthly MPS from the production plan so as to deploy the target inventory at the right locations in a timely fashion.

Coordinates with various functions to centralize manage the Master Data so as to keep it current and accurate.

Works with the IS department to manage all supply chain related application systems so as to get the best automations and functionalities to enable the planning and supply chain management process. 

Optimizes and balances Supply and Demand to achieve the best result on operations costs, customer satisfactions, and cycle time.
