IT Security Analyst

Our client, a leading manufacturer of automotive parts, is looking for an IT Security Analyst to join their team. Reporting to the IT Director, the IT Security Analyst will be responsible for supporting the information security risk mitigation efforts of the Information Technology department primarily through the technical support of the policies and procedures established to safeguard information assets.

Full-time, perm role

Location: North York

Job Responsibilities:

• Executes security tasks including monitoring of logs, reports, etc. to identify security events
• Monitors IT assets for compliance with IT security policies and standards, identify gaps and vulnerabilities
• Conduct IT security violation investigations
• Conduct (self assessments) and support both internal and external IT audit functions

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or a related field
• 3+ years experience in information security
• IT security certification such as CISA, CISM, CISSP preferred
• Proficient in Windows, Active Directory, Office 365, IBM iSeries and cloud hosted solutions.  Experience with Linux based systems is an asset
• Strong aptitude for technical learning, including demonstrated ability to learn
• Strong problem solving and decision-making ability
• Self-starter that requires minimal supervision, ability prioritize tasks and manage available resources
• Must be dependable, punctual, and flexible with schedule as needed.
• Excellent interpersonal and writing skills
• Good customer service skills
