Machine operator in food industry Etobicoke

Our client is an industry leader in Canadian confectionery. We are looking for full time Machine operator to join ASAP!

Job description:

• Preparing the sugar solutions as per formulations.
• Operating the small pan equipment; monitoring the coating process.
• Weighing and measuring ingredients as per formulations.
• Visually inspecting product.
• Maintaining production records as required.
• Material handling (manually, with pump trucks or electric walkie pallet trucks).
• Disposing of garbage/cardboard.
• Perform additional tasks as required.

Working environment:

• Fast-paced packaging environment.
• Working in areas where machinery and forklifts are being operated.
• Daily exposure to strong odours from products being manufactured.
• High levels of noise in manufacturing area.
   

Job Requirement:

• Ability to read and write and communicate in English.
• Basic numerical ability (counting, addition, multiplication).
• Mechanically inclined: able to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment
• 1-2 years experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
   

Shift:

Night: 6:30pm to 6:30am, 3 months training will be on afternoon shift from 4pm to 2:30am

Pay rate: 16.34/hr

Location: Islington Ave & the Queensway (Etobicoke)

Must be able to relocated to Oakville after couple months
