HR Generalist

Our client is an Automotive manufacturer located in Etobicoke location. 

Currently, we are looking for an HR Generalist to join the team as soon as possible. 

• Full time, perm role

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support for the recruitment and selection of planned and approved new hires for positions 
• Developed materials, delivered training and new hire orientations in areas of quality, people safety, and Company values, to ensure employees are able to perform their job to company, customer and legal expectations.
• Responsible for the development, communication and enforcement of Human Resources and Safety policies including Company Values, Vacation, Attendance, Leave of Absence, Orientation, and set consistent standards and expectations.
• Plant health and safety coordinator with the responsibility to develop safety policies, programs and oversee the safety committee.
• Assist all WSIB claims and developed a return to work program; ensuring injured employees had no lost time, and minimize the financial impact to the employee and Company.

Qualifications/Experience/Education

• Bachelor/College degree (or higher) required in the area of discipline
• 3 - 5 years of experience in Human Resources in a manufacturing environment 
• Demonstrate track record of achieving success with the ability to multi-task under pressure, meet deadlines
• Strong understanding of WSIB
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Detailed and Energetic
