CNC Programmer in Richmond Hill
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Edit production CNC programs as required.
- Develop and write CNC programs as required.
- Setup and maintain production jobs.
- Develop solutions to CNC production issues as required.
- Provide support to production in order to ensure a smooth production run:
i.e Setup, toolchange, problem solving etc.
- Assisting in the implementation of continuous
improvement activities
- Responsible for quality checks to be performed while
CNC machine is running as per control plan.
- Responsible for ensuring CNC machine is a clean and
organized work area
- Training of CNC Operators as required
- Responsible for daily preventative maintenance check
on CNC machine
- Work in a safe manner at all times
- Works in compliance with TS16949 standards
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post secondary diploma from a technical college and /
or university in CNC programing.
- Completion of an approprate blend of education and
experience, equalling a minimum of 2 years
- Experience in a fast paced, high volume production
environment
- Strong problem solving techniques
- Ability to read blue prints
- Knowledge of metal cutting and machining process
- Ability to interact with all levels of employees in the
organization
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Experience with Aluminum would be an asset
