Process Engineer

Our client which is a leading automotive manufacturing company is looking for a Process Engineer to join their company. The Process Engineer is responsible for developing, installing, and maintaining cost effective methods of manufacturing fair and equitable manufacturing operating standards. This role is also responsible for participating in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the QMS and EMS. 

Requirements

• Engineering degree or technology diploma.
• Proficient with manufacturing methods and computer aided design (AutoCAD).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO/TS 16949.
• Familiar with machine control systems. PLC programming skill is an asset.
• Good computer literacy and programming skills (VBA an asset).
• Knowledge of injection molding in plastics an asset.

Job Responsibilities

• To assist production in achieving target OEE (overall equipment efficiency)
• To ensure compliance with ISO 14001 as well as targets for Excellence Technology Section expectations.
• To participate in Advance Quality Programs meetings.
• To analyze and implement on-going process improvements to improve production efficiencies and product quality.
• To evaluate effectiveness of plant-wide Preventative Maintenance activity.
• To ensure all new molds and secondary tooling meet established quality control specs.
• To assist, where required, in troubleshooting and problem analysis. 
• Follow up on fixtures being constructed for new programs. 
• Assist with production launch of new programs and in some cases provide training to operators for new fixture operation.
