Manufacturing Business Process Manager

Worldwide beauty products is hiring Manufacturing Business Process Manager to join the team as soon as possible. The Manufacturing Business Process/Systems Manager will lead our Manufacturing Business Process Team to build and execute our road map in service of implementing best practices in production planning and scheduling, inventory management and workforce planning. 

• Working location: Vancouver,  BC
• Position Report to Factory Manager, leading 5 indirect reports
• Salary: $100k-110k
• Bonus up to 50% based off KPI

Job Responsibilities: 

• Leads the development and implementation of a best in class ERP system to support inventory management, production planning, labour scheduling, workforce planning and manufacturing optimization
• Assist in functional system design of the ERP system according to industry best practices and accounting standards requirements
• Act as a bridge between IT and business leaders to assist management with the translation of business needs communication of technology solutions
• Provide expertise in “best in class” manufacturing practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives
• Implement technical, quality, safety and efficiency improvements in operations
• Develops, implements and executes strategies on process improvements for functional areas including development of SOPs, Training etc.
• Coordinate system design, build, preparing and executing protocols, documentation, testing and validation for process improvement and GMP activities
• Responsible to ensure labour levels meet planned requirements for production floor as well as monthly production targets and balance forward plan
• Leads a team to plan production process activities based on ERP data while ensuring effective programs and managing costs
• Collaborates with demand planning, IT and product development teams for cross functional project implementation and to ensure manufacturing needs are met

Job Requirements: 

• 5+ years’ experience as a Plant Operations/Business Manager or (junior) Plant Manager in a seasonal manufacturing environment, preferably in food, beverage, cosmetics or pharmaceutical manufacturing
• Experience as part of an ERP implementation team
• PMP designation preferred 
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other Continuous Improvement principles and programs
• Experience in Master production planning, inventory management, support planning and workforce planning
• University or College Degree/Diploma in Business/Operations Management or other relevant education
• Experience implementing manufacturing best practices, including Good Manufacturing Practices, Lean manufacturing methodology, kaizen and business intelligence concepts
• Strong analytical and variance analysis/root cause analysis
• Advanced technical manufacturing process experience and good understanding of production automation practices in a Lean Manufacturing environment
• High level of proficiency in computer applications, especially in Microsoft Office, database setup and management, and manufacturing ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamic preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt; maintain focus and a high degree of accuracy while working with complex data in an environment of ever-changing deadlines, priorities and requirements
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead a team to meet flexible timelines.
