Quality Assurance / Quality Compliance Associate / Customer Service

A fast growing beauty products company is hiring for a Quality Compliance Associate - Customer Complaints to help with product complaints, product recall, and regulatory notifications.

  • Full-time, perm role
  • Salary: $50,000 per year
  • Working location: Downtown Toronto 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Quality Assurance point of contact for commercial product customer complaints and product recall events as per established procedures.
  • Receive, process, and initiate product complaint investigations using the current product complaints procedures and coordinate all aspects of investigation through closure and/or provide oversight for complaint handling process.
  • Interface and collaborate with various departments (Customer happiness, Quality Assurance, Regulatory, Development, etc.) Company Stores and Retailers, on product complaint issues.
  • Conduct follow-up with customer happiness team for additional information necessary to complete a detailed investigation.
  • Arrange the return of complaints products or Retain sample to appropriate departments for evaluation.
  • Assure that all product complaints are investigated to the appropriate level within the required timeline.
  • Provide timely investigation updates to Customer happiness team or other stake holders.
  • Alert Quality Management of all potential regulatory notification and escalate trends and product complaints that potentially require a regulatory action (e.g. recall, production hold, etc.).
  • Perform analysis and trending of product complaints. Generate product complaint reports to identify and evaluate any trend signals observed and initiate investigations when required.
  • Interact with auditors and regulatory bodies to present the product complaint system during audits and inspections.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • University degree or equivalent in Science or related area.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance.
  • Required knowledge of cGMPs guidelines, Health Canada, FDA, EMEA requirements.
  • For Document Management: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and programming Macro.
