Regulatory Coordinator - Vaughan

Our client, a leading beauty/cosmetics manufacturing company, is looking for a Regulatory Coordinator to join their growing team.

Location: Vaughan, ON
Day shift 

Job Description:

Responsible for the administration of regulatory documentation / affairs, working in
conjunction with vendors and consultants, to complete and maintain product compliance
registrations globally. Work with various departments within the organization on product
development and component supply sourcing.


Major Responsibilities:

  • Global Regulatory Administration
  • Prepare regulatory submissions to Health Canada including Cosmetic Notification Forms (CNF’s) and their international counterparts
  • Review raw materials, Certificate of Analysis (C of A), MSDS/SDS, and other relevant documentation to ensure regulatory specifications are being met
  • Verify ingredients of each product against restriction list (e.g. Canadian Hotlist, EU annex restriction list, FDA Prohibited & Restricted Ingredients)
  • Act as a primary contact with regulatory authorities and Cosmetic Safety Assessors
  • Organize, maintain and provide regulatory and product registration documents to third parties (consultants, distributors, gov’t authorities, etc.)
  • Proof packaging artwork for regulatory requirements and compliance
  • New Product Development
  • Work with marketing department and management on administering newproduct development projects
  • Coordinate with vendors product samples and feedback

Skill & Technical Requirements:

  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
  • Analytical and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work on multiple projects under strict timelines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team

Qualifications:

You will ideally have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in consumer packaged goods industry.
Minimum two (2) years of cosmetic regulatory experience with submissions to regulatory authorities
College or University graduate preferred.
