Production Team Lead

Our client is one of the largest manufacturer and distributor of food packaging and foodservice products, Currently, we are looking for Production Team Lead job the company in Summerstown, ON.

• 12 hours Continental Day shift 7am - 7pm, must able to work on Weekends!!!
• Pay rate is $23/hr
• Working location: Summerstown, ON

POSITION SUMMARY:

Organize/manage the various thermoforming, radiant machines, cash and carry line, omg machines and raw materials, resulting in the production and packaging of quality products as per customer requirements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage, direct and coordinate all activities related to a production shift to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality, supervise 10 to 25 employees.
• Coordinate with the Production Scheduler to ensure daily production requirements are achieved.
• Planning, assigning and directing work.
• Appraising performance, rewarding employees.
• Addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Ensure all production data is gathered and reported correctly on a daily basis.
• Support & improve upon Quality initiatives designed to meet plant goals.
• Ensure safety programs are effectively implemented, reviewed regularly, revised as necessary.
• Ensure all employees are complying with BRC requirements and implementing corrective actions if required.
• Ensure that the docket is at the machine
• Complete quality product checks on a timed interval basis. For identified quality, issues seek assistance from mechanics, maintenance or tooling.

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• 2+ years of manufacturing / supervisory experience.
• Good verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to deal effectively with conflict in a mature and consistent manner.
• Good computer skills, SAP experience preferred.
• BA/BS degree preferred (business, engineering)
• Keen eye for quality assessment
• Must able to work on Weekends

Continental Day shift 7am - 7pm

Salary: $23/hr, Benefits after 3 months

Working location: Summerstown, ON
