Our client is a leading Automotive company in North America, now is looking for a weekend shift only Quality Inspector to perform daily inspections by part specific control plans and report all non-conformances to the Quality Manager.
Work location: Newmarket Bayview / Mulock
Day or Night shift available, two days per weekend
Night shift:
Friday night – 11pm start to 10:30am finish
Saturday night – 10pm to 9am
Day shift :
Saturday – 10:30am start to 10pm finish
Sunday – 9am to 8pm
Pay rate: $20/hour
Responsibility
- Schedule and perform quality inspections and tests as required, using applicable testing equipment as outlined on the inspection sheets in accordance with established quality control methods
- Support prototype testing, and evaluating and approving production parts and processes as required
- Train new Quality Inspectors in various aspects of Quality Control inspection and investigation techniques
- Perform daily-layered process audits as per the described schedule and report results to the Supervisor
- Ensure that an accurate stop quarantine tag log is maintained and reconciled on non-conforming product
- Ensure that all identified non-conforming product is tagged and moved to specified locations
- Monitor and control sort/rework operations
- Identify and be able to react to out of specification, control or general non-conforming conditions
- Must perform incoming Heat Treatment verification on all heat-treated product
- Perform inspections on receiving matrix products
- Generate statistical studies as required and maintain accurate lab test records
- Report all unusual conditions or results, unsafe conditions, broken or out of calibration equipment, as well as procedures not in effect to Supervisor
- Spend most available time on the shop floor performing quality related tasks such as audits, visual aids, inspections etc
Heath&Safty Responsibilities:
- Follow the duties and responsibilities specified under the Occupational Health & Safety Act Sections 28
- Ensure all safety and non-safety rules and regulations are followed
- Ensure adherence to established safety, quality and housekeeping standards
- Attends Environmental Health and Safety training
- Adhere to health and safety, environmental, and quality standards, policies and procedures
- Report any known hazard, defect, incident or compliance issue to the employer or supervisor
Qualification&Skills:
- Less than 1 year of work related experience
- Minimum Grade 12 Diploma or General Educational Development (G.E.D.) equivalency preferred
- Completion of Quality courses (Statistical Process Control (SPC), Geometric Dimension & Tolerancing (GD&T), Blue Print Reading, and Problem Solving,) an asset
