Leading lighting industry is looking for Shipper and Receiver to join the organization in Toronto.

Job Description

Lighting position is currently seeking a Shipper/Receiver for its location in Toronto. Successful candidates will have 6 months of similar experience. Under the direction of the Production Manager, the shipper receiver is responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the inventory of the warehouse.

Must be available for 40-44 hours per week. Occasional weekend work required.

$15.00/hour starting with the opportunity to be promoted within 3 months based on performance. Will consider higher hourly wage based on experience.

Job Description:

·         Receive and verify incoming shipments, put away stock, update computerized records; process

·         returned product

·         Quality Control – inspect, document and report the quality of incoming product

·         Perform inventory counts

·         Administrate shipping documents such as packing slips, invoices, purchase orders, and return

·         merchandise authorizations

·         Occasionally help out in other areas of the company

·         Maintain cleanliness of area

·         Maintain a high level of quality and work

Job Requirements:

·         Previous experience in a customer service-oriented capacity

·         Punctual and responsible

·         Must have at least 6 months previous experience or similar

·         Good written and verbal communication skills, capable of recognizing part numbers and line

·         codes

·         Comfortable working in a computer-based work environment

·         Capable to lift above shoulder from floor, ability to twist, turn and reach above shoulder height

·         Capable of lifting and moving boxes up to and including 40lbs for up to 8 hours per shift

·         Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

·         Must be comfortable performing repetitive tasks

·         Must be very detail-oriented

·         Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
