Industrial Designer

Our client is a Toronto-based global multidisciplinary design and manufacturing firm that specializes in contemporary decorative lighting fixtures, currently hiring Industrial Designers for its HQ in Toronto.

You will have an opportunity to work with renowned international Interior Designers & Architects to satisfy lighting requirements for their projects in hospitality.

Additionally, you will work with various production teams and partners to ensure products are according to the company's design and quality expectations and exceed customers’ expectations. 

To be successful in this position, the following is required:

• Minimum 5 years of experience with product/lighting industrial design position 
• Superb technical/engineering/drawing skills in SolidWorks
• Superb rendering capabilities in Keyshot
• Superb conceptual product development
• Understanding of value engineering
• Understanding of electrical requirements – decorative lighting
• Understanding of B2B project requirements an asset
• University or College degree required
• Project Management capabilities
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills

Job requirements:

• Must have a portfolio.
• Must have a valid Canadian work permit.
• Must have a College or University degree in Industrial Design.
• Lighting Fixture design is a strong asset.
• Understanding of interior design, construction and engineering is a strong asset.

Working location: Downtown Toronto
