Our client, a leading Canadian banking institution, is looking for a Service Officer for their growing team. We are looking for idividuals with strong customer service skills and admin working experience with data entry and MS office skills.
Contract term: 2019-04-01 to 2019-09-30
Pay rate: $ 15.50 /hr
Full-time: 37.5 hours
Schedule: 8am-11pm (Monday-Friday) and 9am -5pm (Saturday), flexible
Main Responsibilities
- Provides timely collection of accounts.
- Handles fair share of incoming calls
- Responsible for making contact by both telephone and correspondence, with respect to overdue payments.
- Handles client inquiries in regards to client accounts or PAD by telephone, letter, or in person.
- Forwards registered letters and cancels policies for non-payment.
- Prepares account adjustments for arrears, return cheques and write-offs.
- Enters abeyance notes and instructions.
- Reviews abeyance file and ensures instructions are followed.
- Follows up on daily abeyances in a timely manner.
- Interacts with the Client Service Center, and provides support regarding accounting issues.
- Ensures department objectives are met on time.
Qualifications
- You have previous collections experience.
- You are Bilingual (French and English)
- You demonstrate superior interpersonal and communication skills.
- You have a strong client service orientation.
- You possess excellent organization and time management skills.
- You possess a professional telephone manner.
- You have effective analytical skills and you are detail oriented.
- You have sound knowledge of problem solving techniques.

- You have excellent computer/keyboarding skills.
- You are flexible with shifts.
