JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for coordination of all production moulds and secondary tooling repairs to ensure that all tooling is available in good working condition to meet scheduled customer and production requirements.
• Responsible to advise the production supervisory group on the status of the tooling.
• Responsible to provide input in various tooling modification to improve production efficiency and product quality.
• Responsible to analyse the production process for optimal effectiveness and productivity.
• Responsible to perform time studies of operator and equipment and provide ideas for process and work environment improvements.
• Responsible to perform analysis of correlation between part wall thickness, weight, shrinkage and moulding cycle time to ensure optimal material usage and machine efficiency.
• Responsible to keep track, monitor and implement continuous improvement projects.
• Adhere to all systems and procedures as set out by company manuals, work instructions, and established processes.
• Responsible for coordinating of problem-solving and trouble shooting in conjunction with Quality Control and Engineering Departments, for all jobs with persistent quality problems.
• Ensure assigned mould maintenance jobs, repairs and/or continuous improvement projects are performed accurately and in a timely manner, so that quality parts are produced, production is not interrupted and no further re-working is required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIRED:

• 1-5 years experience in engineering and/or University Degree.
• 6 Sigma required
• Excellent communication skills
