Quality Inspector (Night shift)

Our client, a leading manufacturer of fluid flow systems, is looking for a quality inspector to join their team in Scarbrough, ON. We are looking for candidate with 2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering capacity with inspection experience and knowledge in Quality Management System (ISO 9001).

Shift: Night shift (11pm to 7:30am), flexible to do day shift or afternoon shift for training for the first couple weeks.

Pay rate: $18/hour (depends on experience)

Location: Scarborough, ON

Reporting to: Quality Manager

Job Summary:

The incumbent inspects (in-coming ,in-process and outgoing ) materials and products such as castings ,machined parts ,Assemblies for conformance to specifications .Inspects prodcuts by using Visual means and inspection equipment (micrometers, height gagues, CMM, dial calipers, etc)

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for conducting incoming inspection of supplier parts to ensure compliance.
• Responsible for conducting final inspection of parts ..
• Conducts in-process spot checks of parts and area surveillance for conformance with procedures.
• Responsible for maintenance of all inspection records.
• Conducts inspections relevant to customer service warranty issues.
• Conducts inspections to support Engineering development parts.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings .

Additional Responsibilities: 

• Participates at Flip Chart Daily production Meetings.
• Daily auditing of QC review area /Shipping doc .
• Aids in daily nonconformance (NCN) review including:

 maintenance of NCN logs

 ensuring part segregation where required

 coordinating return of nonconforming parts where required

Education: High school dipoma or Vocational Quality training .

Experience and Background:

• Two years’ experience in a manufacturing industry/ engineering capacity or in an outside inspection environment.
• Experience /knowledge in Quality Management System ( ISO 9001 )
• MS office ,Spreadsheets & SPC type programs .
• Experience in HVAC and pressure Wessels will be an asset
