Our client, a leading Canadian banking institution, is looking for Operations Officer to join their growth Department. We are looking for individuals with banking experience and excellent communication skills.
Contract term: 28/01/2019 to 02/08/2019
Pay rate: $22.39 /hour
Full-time: 37.5 hours
Schedule:Monday to Friday , 8.30am-5pm
Must haves:

- Able to multi-task and deliver results as required.
- Strong Communication and written skills.
- Experience with Mutual Funds and IBM/ISM preferred.
- Brokerage experience is required.
Summary: The main function of the position is to the reconciliation functions in the back office processing area.
Job Responsibilities:
- Timely and accurate reconciliation of accounts, exception identification, distribution and reporting
- Prompt break investigation, assignment of breaks and raising of critical issues to various Wealth business groups. Maintain sufficient audit trails
- Ensure the tracking system is updated daily and outstanding items are routed and followed-up on an ongoing basis across a variety of Wealth products(Mutual funds, GIC, Equities, FX, Corporate Actions, etc).
- Ensure all exceptional trades are escalated to Management and Line of businesses on time
- Work with areas such as Trading, Operations, various Wealth line of businesses as it relates to resolving discrepancies and ensuring Regulatory and Audit guidelines are being met and adhered to.
- Develop and maintain sound working relationships with internal groups across Wealth Shared Services
- Actively participate in developing, testing and implementing new or enhanced processes and other process improvement initiatives
- Participate fully as a member of the Team.
- Provide assistance to other Officers when necessary.
- Protect the interests of the Bank by adhering to operating standards and processes
- obtain proper authorization for transactions as required.

- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, proficiency in Excel is a must, coupled with the ability to learn and apply skills to new software programs.
