Director of Operations

Our client is one of the world’s leading manufacturers and marketers of quality skin care, makeup, fragrance and hair care products.

Currently, we are looking for a Director of Operations to manage all aspects of compounding and finished goods production in alignment with the manufacturing strategy and annual operating plans to deliver best total quality, service, and cost while maintaining the highest safety and cGMP requirements.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure operational standards for cost, quality, delivery, environmental, health and safety are met.
  • Develop and Drive positive cultural change in compounding and production via clear operations
    performance improvement plans and confident leadership.
  • Interface with Planning, QA, and R&D in ensuring customer expectations are managed.
  • Leverage manufacturing capacity, capabilities and best practice.
  • Direct implementation and execution of the Continuous improvement process to achieve net productivity targets, material, labor, overhead, best total cost of production targets
  • Manage and lead all manufacturing functions under their responsibility in accordance with established corporate & local management policies, procedures and objectives.
  • Build, develop and manage an operations team capable of executing operations strategies, tactics and annual plans.
  • Ensure complete compliance with all statutory and corporate EHS policies eg. PPE, WHIMS, GMP, ISO 140001, etc.
  • Develop a ZERO loss Safety Culture through driving best in class safety initiatives.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a Business, Engineering, or technical related field. A graduate degree is a
    plus.
  • 7-10 years in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated progression through various levels
    of management and responsibilities.
  • Experience managing multiple areas of a manufacturing environment including production,
    warehouse, operations and facilities
  • Demonstrated people management capability in an organization employing 500 – 1000
    associates with a track record of building human capital; team building, interpersonal skills,
    communication and negotiation.
  • Must have a successful track record of driving and leading organizational change, implementing
    lean and continuous improvement principles, and delivering net productivity improvements.
  • Very strong analytical capabilities.
  • Working knowledge in a CPG environment preferred.

Salary Range:  $125-130k plus bonus and equity
