Banking Administrative Assistant II

Our client, a leading Canadian banking institution, is looking for an Administrative Assistant to join their growing  team. We are looking for a individuals with strong MS Office Skills with a high preference for previous banking experience

 

Contract term: 21/01/2019 to 20/07/2019

Pay rate:  $15.50/hour 

Full-time: 37.5 hrs

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m

 

Must haves: 

  • Data entry skills 
  • Previous administrative experience
  • Friendly, dependable, and organized
  • Focused, with the ability to work independently
  • Have excellent time management, multitasking, task planning and prioritization skills
  • MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint and Internet Explorer)
  • Attention to Detail

Nice to haves:

  • Bilingual – French & English

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides timely collection of accounts.
  • Handles fair share of incoming calls
  •  Responsible for making contact by both telephone and correspondence, with respect to overdue payments.
  •  Handles client inquiries in regards to client accounts or PAD by telephone, letter, or in person.
  • Forwards registered letters and cancels policies for non-payment.
  • Prepares account adjustments for arrears, return cheques and write-offs.
  • Enters abeyance notes and instructions.
  •  Reviews abeyance file and ensures instructions are followed.
  •  Follows up on daily abeyances in a timely manner.
  •  Interacts with the Client Service Center, and provides support regarding accounting issues.
  • Ensures department objectives are met on time.
