Payroll and Benefits Administrator

Our client, a metal fabricator, is looking for a Payroll and Benefits Administrator to provide payroll and benefits support to 3 facilities. We are looking for individuals with at least 2-4 years of experience in HR and Payroll.

 

Contract term: approximately 14 months (mat leave contract)

Salary: $50K - $60K

 

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years experience in payroll and benefits administration
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment highly preferred
  • ADP and OSI payroll system knowledge preferred
  • Sunlife (benefit provider) system experience is preferred
  • Computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment preferred
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Post-secondary education preferred

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Safeguard all financial/personnel documents and keep all financial/personnel matters private and confidential.
  • Maintain accurate records of all earnings, deductions, statistics, etc. for each Associate and preparation of reports on this data.
  • Administration of Associates benefit master file within the Payroll and Human Resource systems.
  • Review, edit and report on weekly hours processing for both hourly and salaried Associates utilizing current software programs.
  • Preparation of month end billings and reporting.
  • Processing of garnishment payments.
  • Weekly payroll reconciliation and reporting.
  • Support Team Members’ by providing answers and requests in a timely fashion.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation: provide guidance to new Team Members and assist in the enrollment process of company benefit plans.
  • Assist with internal and external year end reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and cost reduction activities.
  • Performs other duties as necessary in support of departmental goals.
  • Comply with requirements as outlined in the company handbook and OHSA.
