Materials Customer Service Coordinator

Our client, a manufacturer of automotive parts, is looking for a Materials Customer Service Coordinator to join their team. The Materials Customer Service associate is responsible for serving customers online and via the telephone to assess and fulfill their needs to the highest standard of satisfaction.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years experience in a related field in an automotive environment preferably stamping and welding
  • College or University graduate in a related field
  • Working towards an APICS CIPM designation or certification an asset.
  • Good working knowledge of ERP Systems preferably Trans4M
  • Proficiency in related computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Communicates effectively with all associates.
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail 
  • Working knowledge of IATF 16949:2016

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Use of ERP system for shipping and/or customer service functions and requirements.
  • Process Customer Release received by EDI, email or fax.
  • Check customer release for any discrepancies, i.e. YTD Cum, receipts, quantities
  • Enter customer orders/spot buy orders and monitor order increases and/or decreases.
  • Communicate with Materials department and provide customers delivery schedule and/or shipment status.
  • Research and resolve customer problems, acting as the customer liaison between departments when necessary.
  • Assist Shipping in printing shipment paper work, scanning shipment and load checks as required.
  • Create and maintain customer file in the ERP system for all new and existing customers, coordinate with all departments to ensure proper system set up, pricing and delivery timeline.
  • Handle all Metal Ends accounts and schedule Metal ends production (P250R & P250L).
  • Audit TRW shipment and report any discrepancies to Materials and Production.
  • Monitor and maintain a monthly report on Customer Deliver performance, Premium Freight and trucking.
  • Monitor and maintain customer container tracking and communicates according with customers for any shortages.
  • Arrange with outside carriers and obtains freight quotes/costs for special and/or expedite shipment when required.
  • Cross training with Supplier Releasing, Production Scheduling, Shipping and Receiving and will back up as required.
  • Cover rotation schedule for after office on call duty, weekends and/or holidays.
  • Handle some Supplier releasing.
  • Analyze and enter KTH Forecast release and send variances to Materials team.
  • Monitor Metal ends Sales forecast and enter into system for material and scheduling.
