Banking Operations Officer II

Our client, a leading Canadian banking institution, is looking for an Operations Officer to join their team. We are looking for an individual who has previous banking experience and strong communication skills.

 

Contract term: 2018-11-12 to 2019-11-08

Pay rate: $18/hr

Full time: 37.5 hrs per week

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

 

Must Have: 

  • Data entry – strong computer skill set
  • Fast learner
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong excel skills
  • Communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Outgoing personality but also hardworking
  • Accounting – strong accounting background 
  • Canadian banking experience
  • 2-4+ years of experience as a Customer Service/Operations Officer working with clients over the phone

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly estate and trustee fees report.
  • Prepare court audit statement through wind up application and accounting format in various legislated jurisdiction in Canada.
  • Calculate and charge Private Trust/Court Passing fees and ad hoc fee charge/refund request.
  • Process daily fee request on Immediate Distributable Estate based on book or market value of Private Trust standard and nonstandard compensation schedule and or fee agreements.
  • Increase productivity by identifying personal and group efficiencies that will improve workflow.
  • Be flexible in changing work priorities and assist Team Manager with Private Trust, Court Passing and Closing fee projects as assigned from time to time.
  • Contribute toward attaining a positive audit and ciCEI.
  • Manage and prioritize day to day workload to ensure that all assigned tasks are completed.
  • Support the team by continuously developing knowledge in own area. 
  • Consistently exercise within SLA.
  • Effectively communicate in a professional and clear manner with internal and external staff while using best practices (Client Experience Model & Service Guidelines).
  • Consistently exercise discretion in managing correspondence, information and all matters of confidentially while adhering to bank policies, procedures and code of conduct.
  • Participate fully as a member of the team, promote team effectiveness and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Keep Team Manager informed and up-to-date about the status/progress of projects and all relevant or useful information related to day to day activities by being engaged in on the spot and monthly coaching.

 

Education/Experience:

  • High school education required
  • Post secondary education preferred
  • Canadian banking experience
  • 2-4 years of experience required
