Banking Operations Officer III

Our client, a leading Canadian banking institution, is looking for an Operations Officer to join their growing team. We are looking for an individual who has finance background and excellent communication skills.

Contract term: 2018-11-12 to 2019-05-04

Pay rate: $22.39/hr

Full time: 37.5 hrs per week

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

Must Have:

• Quick learner
• Analytical/critic thinking
• Excellent communication skills
• Eager to learn and grow and take on new task
• Finance background  

Nice to Have:

• Intermediate Excel skills
• Corporate Actions Experience

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage and resolve exceptions.
• Develop understanding of the Fixed Income Domestic and international market. 
• Develop and maintain working relationships with internal and external partners for the purposes of delivering optimal customer service.
• Execute on ad-hoc non-routine requests.
• Provide management with analysis of key process drivers, root causes, and identify/provide recommendations for improvement initiatives.
• Assist in analysis, development, testing and implementation of operating and process improvements.
• Initiate and/or participate in projects –identify test cases, communicate project status and execution of test cases to ensure project objectives are met in a timely manner.
• Ensure written procedures of new/current process are captured and updated routinely.
• Ensure all escalation policies are observed under the bank policy.  
• Provide a high level of service in assisting process partners to identify, locate and resolve differences.
• Escalate client issues as appropriate – ensure communication with key stakeholders.
