Our client is one of the world’s leading manufacturers and marketers of quality skin care, makeup, fragrance and hair care products. Currently we are looking for a Reliability Manager to lead their maintenance management team. We are looking for individuals with at least 5 years of supervisory mainenance experience, preferably in the cosmetic or pharmaceutical industry.
Salary: $98K, plus bonus and benefits (will vary depending on experience)
Location: Scarborough, ON
Summary: The Reliability Manager is a member of the Plant Management Team and has full accountability for maintenance activities. This position supervises a local team of mechanics, line technicians and cleaning room operators across three shift operations.
Job Responsibilities:
Predictive Maintenance, Execution, and Strategic Planning
- Assist with direction setting and supporting maintenance reliability KPI's.
- Addresse technical related issues and drive root cause failure analysis.
- Partner with maintenance employees to develop, implement and monitor the PM's.
- Identify and prioritize predictive maintenance programs.
- Orchestrate daily maintenance support of manufacturing at the facility.
- Manage all maintenance functions as they relate to manufacturing to achieve plant's operating plan.
- Ensure annual plant shutdowns facilitate regulatory inspections and on-time repairs that can only be accomplished during the shutdown periods.
- Develop, recommend, and review long term strategies for expense and capital initiatives relating to the Maintenance Department and successful operation of the plant.
- Key to the development of the strategic capital plan for the facility.
Department Budgeting and Continuous Process Improvement
- Monitor department expense budgets for the Maintenance Department.
- Manage use of labor and materials to optimize department effectiveness.
- Establish and execution of departmental objectives in support of all site and corporate goals.
- Manage CI efforts within the plant to eliminate recurring manufacturing issues and meet production and efficiency goals.
- Identify and implement small capital improvements.
Team Management
- Develop a competent and efficient Maintenance Department workforce.
- Assure team members have the experience, tools, supplies, and materials required for performing maintenance services.
Health and Safety
- Drive site initiatives in support of reduced TIR results.
- Participate in development of site EAS objectives.
- Ensure departmental compliance with all requirements put forth by the corporate, governmental agencies and regulatory bodies.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in plant engineering and/or Maintenance in the Cosmetic Industry
- Experience leading a team, financial budget experience a must
- Demonstrated experience with TPM tools and plant reliability initiatives
- Experience with predictive maintenance
Education: Minimum Bachelors degree in an engineering related discipline; Mechanical/Electrical
