Job Requirements
- A minimum High school diploma
- A minimum of 2 year of experience in a Warehouse environment in a leadership role
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written
- Computer literacy especially with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and ERP systems
- Flexibility to work afternoons as needed
- Must have experience leading up to 25 employees possibly on 2 shifts
- Must have a strong sense of urgency
- 5S experience is a definite asset
- A solid understanding of Health & Safety regulations
- Ability to motivate team members
- Experience conducting Performance Appraisals is an asset
Summary of Duties
- Coordinates labour requirements based on standard work and hourly count board targets
- Ensures production line layout setup to include station work elements, labour balancing, equipment needs and incoming and outgoing material flow
- Ensures material kanban systems and requests are being executed
- Ensures standard work procedures for operators and material handlers are being followed
- Builds quality into all aspects of work
- Ensures job SQDC metrics boards are filled out
- Accountable to follow all policies and procedures defined in the company quality systems
- Ensures production materials are staged on the line before production process begins
- Accountable for all employees training
- Works with Section Manager / Department Manager to develop improvement ideas that supports business objectives
- Leads and drives continuous improvement
- Responsible and accountable for root cause and corrective action for KPI target misses, other production related issues, and inventory discrepancies.
- Leads SQDC meetings, and follows up on any open actions from meeting
- Ensures 5S standard for the department section is being met
- Develops and issues performance appraisals
- Reviews and edits daily Enterprise swipes
- Ensures that all business transactions are being completed accurately and on time
