Sr. Payroll Administrator

Our client is a leading Pharmaceutical company in Vaughan, currently looking for a Sr. Payroll Administrator to start join their team.

Location: Vaughan

Salary: Based on experienece

 

Job duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage all payroll activities including reviewing & processing of all company time records, expense reimbursement, compiling of payroll statistics, maintaining of payroll control records and calculating payrolls employees
  • Assist with the general ledger interface for Finance and produce management reports specific to the Payroll area.
  • Respond to notifications from state agencies related to payroll taxes, wage garnishments and other payroll related areas.
  • Lead communication with employees specific to current and future pay inquiries.
  • Effectively communicate training to new and existing employees for payroll policies and procedure updates.
  • Process payroll master file changes including new hires, terminations, rate changes, etc.
  • Work with HR, time and attendance administrators, managers and supervisors to respond to payroll related inquiries and issues.
  • Other process improvement duties that align with the evolving business.

Qualifications / Skills:

  • College diploma or certification in Payroll, Accounting or relevant area of study.
  • CPA PCP Payroll Compliance Practitioner designation preferred.
  • 2-3 years Canadian full cycle payroll administration experience in a high volume payroll environment.
  • Must have previous experience with Ceridian Dayforce.
  • Excellent Excel and math skills, Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly with team members, management, employees and external individuals.
  • Excellent work ethic, demonstrating integrity and trust as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism and diplomacy.
  • Flexibility to accept and adapt to change as well as the commitment to seek continuous improvement.
