Our client, a leading automotive manufacturing company is hiring a QA Engineer to join their team.
Working Location: Mississauga, ON
Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm

Job Description:
- Review production quality indicators (offline/scrap/QCRs) and work with production and engineering to analyze and develop countermeasures
- Support the implementation of processes and provide daily direction to ensure quality standards
- Lead and support the the implementation of corrective actions to resolve quality concerns or complaints
- Prepare PPAP for customers and access the supplier PPAP for bearing key components
- Conduct internal and supplier audits
- Drive efforts to improve quality metrics in complaints from customers and First Time Through (FTT)
- Conduct capability studies and SPC to ensure processes are optimized and capable of meeting specifications and reducing waste
- Maintain quality documentation: forms, instructions and procedures
- Supervise and coach QA technicians, QA inspectors and General Inspectors
- Write re-inspection plans and checking rates for off-line holds with
- proper documentation and establish permanent corrective actions
- Follow up with 8Ds and solutions to customer claims
- Continuous Improvement - evaluate process changes to improve productivity, reduce cost and improve quality
- Evaluate and recommend measuring machines for precision measuring to control and monitor processes
- Develop WIs and SOPs that are compliant with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 Standards and customer specific requirements
Requirements:
- Must be familiar with 8D, 5Why processes
- Must be familiar with AIAG Core Tools
- Must be able to work in the fast-paced environment and handle a high-volume workload with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Manufacturing experience in a unionized environment and assembly line production experience an asset
- Knowledge of 5S, 3D Visualization, Quality Standards, Application of Collective Agreements, ISO 9001 /IATF 16949 / 14001 Standards and
- Lean Manufacturing
- Excellent communication skills
- Supervisory skills
- Excellent computer skills (MS Excel, Word, PPT)
Education and Experience:
- University / College degree in Quality Assurance with manufacturing experience is preferred (transcipts required)
- Minimum 1-3 years of working experience
- Engineering: 1 year (Required)
