Banking Service Officer II

Our client, a leading Canadian banking institution, is looking for Service Officers to join their growing team. We are looking for independent individuals that have strong attention to detail, excellent communication, customer service, and data entry skills.

 

Contract term: 2018-10-01 to 2019-03-01

Pay rate: $17.50 - $19.50/hr

  • $17.50 if the candidate has Business Related Bachelor Degree
  • $18.50 if the candidate has Business Related Bachelor Degree with CSC
  • $19.00 if the candidate has Business Related Master Degree with CSC
  • $19.50 if the candidate has Business Related Master Degree with CSC and passed CFA level II or III exam

Full-time: 37.5 hours

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 10:00am - 6:30pm

 

Must Have:

  • 2-4+ yrs of experience as a Customer Service/Operations Officer working with clients over the phone
  • Ability to challenge existing processes and identify process gaps
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Organized and Attention to detail
  • Commitment to client service excellence

     

Nice-to-Have:

  • Mutual fund product knowledge
  • CSC - Canadian Security Course Completed
  • Proficiency with Mvest, ISD400, ISM, CDS/DTC, or VBA knowledge is a great asset
  • Sound knowledge of the wealth management industry, including product knowledge of account types and their functionality is a great asset

 

Job Summary: The candidate will report to the Team Manager of Internal Processing team. A typical Wealth Operations Officer is responsible for processing transactions accurately and on time; Escalate processing issues where necessary to ensure a high level of service is maintained; Serve clients as required – adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLA) and internal service delivery standards; Follow firm and industry regulations and operating practices in completing and recording transactions for either the firm or clients; Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and support process improvement initiatives.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize and manage own workload to meet SLA requirements for service and productivity
  • Follow firm and industry regulations and operating practices in completing and recording transactions for either the firm or clients
  • Escalate non-standard or high-risk transactions or other activities as appropriate
  • Ensure documentation prepared/completed is accurate and properly reflects client/business intentions and is consistent with relevant rules/regulations
  • Complete investigations – report/escalate risk issues identified or process gaps
  • Access systems, know and apply system capabilities, ensure upload/download of information is completed timely and accurately
  • Assist in analysis, development, testing, and implementation of operating and process improvements

 

Education/Experience:

  • Post-Secondary education required/University degree is a must
  • Business-related major is an asset
