POSITION SUMMARY:

To increase uptime, throughput, efficiency and quality, through the process of maintaining, designing, developing and continuously improving our equipment and the utilization of technology to ensure the best quality frames are produced.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • C of Q Industrial Electrician or Industrial Millwright
  • Robotics Certificate

RECOMMENDED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5 to 7 years experience in automotive and manufacturing environment
  • High school graduation diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Able to be flexible in hours of work in order to meet internal/external customer requirements (scheduled and non-scheduled overtime shifts, etc.)
  • Must be able to work in a strictly confidential manner.
  • Good oral & written English skills.
  • Must be dependable.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Evaluate and improve our processes for uptime and repeatability.
  • Evaluate downtime situations for root cause and suggest/implement improvements
  • Evaluate potential risks to similar processes and develop work orders and plans to resolve issue.
  • Preventative maintenance on Equipment – identifies weakness in design and implements improvements. Take pride in workmanship and when performing skilled work develop procedures to educate and train other team members performing the same work. Note – Monitor progress of repair to ensure problem is resolved.
  • Participate in the development of team members through training and collaboration. (Achieve Total Productive Maintenance).
  • Monitor and participate in ensuring all Key Performance Indicators (Safety, Quality and Productivity) are being achieved and assist with action plan to ensure success.
  • Ensure all key information is captured and exchanged at shift change to support the other shifts.
  • Understand, promote and live by employee’s philosophies and the Employee Charter.
  • Should be strong in trouble shooting repair and maintaining Fanuc, ABB and Motoman Robots and its integration to various controllers and devices.
  • Analyze and improve Robot Programs and moves to improve efficiency
  • Maintain issue list and identify top 3 issues on equipments and processes at all times
  • Report out on status updates of the top 3 issues regularly
  • Maintain safety standards of equipment and work area and perform all duties in a safe manner in accordance with the safety policies of the company.
  • Assist in developing and/or updating preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Live up to agreement as maintenance technician and support cross-functional repairs to the equipment that includes Electrical, Mechanical, and tooling provided it could be done safely.
  • Should be literate in Computer skills using Windows, MSOffice, and AutoCAD.
  • Should understand the various communication networks available such as Ethernet / Device Net / Remote I/O,
  • Serial communication, Basic Module, as well as Control net (RS Networx).
  • Perform other duties as requested.
  • Have authority to stop production for quality reasons.
  • Have the right to refuse work based on safety or health concerns
  • Work safely and follow all safety rules at all times.
  • Report any unsafe or unhealthy conditions immediately.
  • Know and understand all Company’s Federal, State and Local legislated duties.
  • Play an active role in maintaining housekeeping in the area and ensure that area of responsibility is clean, tidy and organized at all times.
  • Attend training as required or as assigned.
  • Know what to do in an emergency.
  • Know the operating instructions for all equipment and processes where you are assigned. Know the pre start-up inspection process, hazards, protective measures, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, start and stop procedures and equipment limitations.
  • Attend all physical examinations and tests including those required for respirator use and hearing protection.
  • Be knowledgeable about any chemicals that you work with or that are in your immediate environment.
  • Wear required PPE such as safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, gloves, aprons, respirators and head protection.
