Sales and Marketing Analyst
Our client, a leading food company is hiring a sales & Marketing Analyst to join their growing team which is located at Markham.
Location: Markham
Salary: $45K
Contract duration: May 2018 to July 2019
The purpose of the role is to provide support to the Sales and Commercialization teams. Areas of specific importance are sales and financial analysis, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting/forecasting, price and margin management and market analysis.
Job duties and responsibilities:
§ Tableau and SharePoint Analysis and Reporting
o Assisting VP in customer performance tracking vs. budget and year ago
o Assist in identifying white space opportunities with Top 50 customers; provide support to sales team to close opportunities
o Lead customer updates/reviews at monthly sales meeting
§ Pricing
o Price change coordination and support
o Price template and price list maintenance; accurately reflecting commodity and packaging cost changes
o Assist with RFP submissions by providing competitive and accurate pricing & cost models
o Price change tracking
o Price change execution in JDE in conjunction with sales personnel and CSR’s
o Developing and maintaining price master files by sku, by customer on FOB and delivered basis
§ Market Analysis
o P/L share analysis by major segment and major market
o Nielsen data analysis and existing product opportunity identification
o New product opportunities
o Mintel insights review, analysis and dissemination
§ Sales Support Material
o Developing and maintaining sales sheets for all relevant product segments (visuals, romance copy, and technical, logistics and nutritional information)
o Create and maintain product brochures for generic uses (trade shows) and specifics uses (customer presentations)
o Work with commercialization to develop standards across plants for pallet configuration information by size and product type to be included on product sell sheets as appropriate
§ Sales presentation
o Provide support to sales team in developing sale presentation for customers
o Assist in adding creative elements in presentations
Qualifications:
· Business Degree specializing in Finance or Marketing
· Minimum 1 years of experience in finance or marketing role
· Advance level MS Excel skills (v-lookup, h-lookup, pivot tables & macros) and tableau skills required
· Proven strong analytical capabilities
· Demonstrated strong business acumen
· Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate analytical results
