Banking Service Officer I

Our client, a leading Canadian banking institution, is looking for a Service Officer to join their Insurance team. We are looking for individuals with excellent communication skills as well as data entry or clerical experience. Previous insurance industry experience is highly preferred.

Contract term: 26/02/2018 to 30/03/2018 (1 month), possible extension

Pay rate: $16.25/hour

Full-time: 37.5 hours

Schedule: Monday - Friday, rotation 9:00am - 5:00pm or 8:00am - 4:00pm

Location: North York

Must have: 

• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Analytical thinking, organization, and time management skills
• Tech savvy
• Proficient in MS Office

Nice to have:

• Previous insurance industry experience
• Bilingual, English and French

Summary: Working in the underwriting team, the Service Officer will assist with processig of delinquent Insurance files. This position reports to he Manager of Underwriting - Quality and Controls. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Review all registered policies
• Ensure that the applictions are active for each user 
• Remove inactive users and update accounts accordingly
• Reprovision expired accounts
• Analyze information and look for common trends
• Complete additional activities as required by the team 

Education & Accreditation

• Pursuing a post-secondary diploma in any discipline and working towards CIP and/or CRM designations are a strong asset
• Willingness to gain a thorough knowledge and understanding of underwriting philosophy and guidelines
• High school required. Post-secondary education preferred
