Deskside Support Analyst (Toronto)

Responsibilities:
• Look after remote offices using remote support tools or providing support over the phone and dispatching a technician if required
• Set-up of blackberry devices
• Set-up new accounts for users following appropriate approval process
• Assist with moving computing hardware and associated reconfiguring
• Installation of new and used hardware units and components
• Troubleshooting problems, performing diagnostics
• working with hardware vendors to ensure warranty and non-warranty repairs of desktops, notebooks, and printers
• Updating, escalating and closing of Tickets in various systems
• Able to work some overtime hours completing office moves or support end users
Qualifications:
• A Technical Diploma or University degree in Computer Science or related filed
• A+ Certification
• Minimum of 2 years working in a large Novell computing environment
• Knowledge of an incident and problem management tool such as Service Desk Plus
• Strong Windows 7 OS knowledge
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Experience supporting Office Suite of products
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• A sense of urgency to complete tasks and assignments
• Ability to take direction and follow practices and procedures consistently and accurately
• Good time management skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
