You will contribute to the success of the operation by diligently performing your duties as outlined below. You will preplan your day and driving route in conjunction with the warehouse manager in order to respond to the needs of the business. Moving inventory and supplies to the stores in a timely manner is essential to the Company’s success. You will assist in the warehouse when required and will load and unload merchandise and supplies. In addition you will do light maintenance in stores and office and periodic light housekeeping /cleaning in warehouse. You are organized and a team player with a positive attitude. Job Description • Perform all Company driving duties • Good time management skills to transport new inventory, store transfers and supplies between warehouse and head office in a timely manner • Manage shipments carefully and responsibly while loading, unloading and transporting items, to ensure that there is no loss or damage • May be required to unpack and prepare inventory for the sales floor – hanging steaming and security tagging • Light maintenance duties in stores and office/warehouse • Housekeeping/cleaning of office/warehouse as required • Accurately complete all necessary paperwork when transferring merchandise from location to Location • Keep assigned vehicle free from damage and in a safe and acceptable condition – report any malfunctions or defects • Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • 1-2 years previous driving experience and/or related customer service experience • Post secondary education preferred • Organized with the ability to plan and execute and prioritize tasks • Excellent communication skills to work with Store Managers, and warehouse/office staff in both written and verbal formats • High energy – must be able to thrive in a fast paced environment • Proven team player • Physical mobility to work for extended periods – standing, lifting heavy boxes of inventory and supplies • Ability to work varied days/shifts including weekends, evenings and holidays as needed 13/hr-16/hr A clean driver abstracts and copy of G license is required for this position.
