You will spend time out on the floor with employees, and perpetuate an environment of high-quality employee relations of a 100+ employee population. Ideally your skill set will include a well rounded Generalist background in a fast paced production atmosphere, supporting Plant Management with performance management, training, discipline, statutory compliance and maintaining positive working relationships. Travel is a requirement for this role. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Manage the HR function at the posted multiple facilities. • Carry out plant employee relations and other employee programs policies and procedures and ensure compliance. • Provide advice, guidance and assistance to all management and supervisory staff on interpretation and administration of personnel policies and programs. • Ensure compliance is strictly adhered to with regards to all relevant human resources related legislation. • Is responsible for the salary administration, disciplinary processes and investigations. • Manages recruitment, employment training, and performance appraisal programs. • Identify and communicate to client groups, as a knowledgeable HR Practitioner regarding HR best practices, compensation, recruitment, employee relations and other related disciplines. • Consult on issues related to legal and procedural compliance, employee relations, strategies and performance management. • Thorough knowledge transfer and coaching, assist client group to acquire skills and knowledge for effectively handling and resolving employees' issues and change management. • Delivering coaching, guidance and support relevant to the needs of client groups in areas such as: talent management, leadership skills, and employee engagement. • Assist in the rollout of various HR based programs and initiatives. IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS: • Must be able to travel 25-40% • A degree is preferred however; an equivalent combination of experience and education may also be considered; Professional Certification a plus • Minimum 5+ years – As a Human Resources Manager or Senior Generalist background experience in a manufacturing environment • Proven problem-resolution and decision-making skills. • Able to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. • Goal and results oriented. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Proven discretion and sensitivity to confidential information. • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications
