Job Description Technical Product Specialist – Toronto | gc-employment.com Please send resume to: itjobs@gc-employment.com with the subject “Technical Product Specialist (Toronto)” Job Description: job Responsibilities: • Participate in requirements analysis and technical design discussions • Contact customers, including their management, on a regular basis to discuss open issues, ongoing needs, and future plans • Monitor the customer initial setup and ongoing maintenance processes regarding the installation, training, and ongoing support • Maintain current files and update the appropriate internal systems and/or personnel regarding customers including correspondences, current configuration, personnel, etc. • Perform training, consulting or other support services (including telephone support and production services) for customers as directed • Train end users in the operational use of the system • Offer a direct point of contact for all customers to report their issues and/or questions regarding company’s systems and services • Monitor and follow-up open customer support issues • Participate in the planning of telephony and network architecture as it relates to the software implementation Job Requirements: • Extensive software and hardware experience in a Windows environment is required. • Previous experience and/or knowledge of the transit industry is an asset. • Previous experience with XML/XSL, HTML is an asset. • Previous trouble shooting experience related to databases including MSSQL or Oracle is an asset. • Working knowledge of network infrastructure (DMZ, WAN/LAN, ODBC, etc) is desired. • Experience with various PSTN vendors is an asset • Working knowledge of Cisco, Shortel and other PBX models is an asset including, but not limited to, experience with VXML. • Familiarity with the Voice Genie/Genesys voice platform is an asset Salary Negotiable
