Finance Controller for EMS Company-Hong Kong

They are a global Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) provider with more than two decades of experience working in partnership with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in computer, industrial, communications, consumer and medical markets. Our client operates a global manufacturing network with operations in Canada, the United States, Mexico and China. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Report to VP Finance • Support management team in creation of budgets and forecasts • Support team in driving to meet forecasts, budgets and deadline • Special analysis for cost reduction, profit improvement and working capital improvement • Preparation of regional financial reporting package to Finance Manager / Director • Prepare cost accounting analysis including supplementary financial reports of sales, inventory, payroll and factory overhead costs • Support operational team with inventory management, manage payables and receivables • Prepare appropriate tax returns and filings. Comply with tax regulations while minimizing tax and interest assessments • Coordination of the monthly close process, quarterly auditor review and annual audit • General accounting activities including the proper recording of SG&A costs, depreciation, interest expenses, income tax, prepaid & accrual and accrued un-posted • Identify process gaps and implement new processes • Assist in all Ad-hoc project assigned by the finance manager / director • Support Tax related function QUALIFICATIONS: • Degree Holder in Accounting or Finance with professional qualification; CPA, CA designation will be an asset • Minimum 10 years of post-public accounting experience in the manufacturing industry; Prefers backgrounds from EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) industry • Hands on experience in working in PRC manufacturing factory environment is a must • Strong knowledge of Hong Kong tax regulations as well as US GAAP • Must be well organized, a self starter, hands on and have the ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently • Strong ability to manage change from a communications perspective • Must be results-oriented and possess sound business judgment and customer service focused • Excellent written and oral communication with meticulous attention to detail • Strong organizational, negotiating and presentation skills • Very hands-on and multitasking • Attention to details, hardworking, willing to take up responsibility • Fluency in English is a must • Excellent computer skills • Regular travel to the PRC (Twice a week same day travel to Dongguan Factory, Hong Kong work location: Fo Tan, Shatin) • Immediately available • Regarding Taxation practice, the candidate has to be in compliance with Location: Hong Kong; Regular travel to the PRC Compensation: 500-600K HK $ annually with 15% discretionary bonus (negotiable) Company Profile --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- GREAT CONNECTIONS EMPLOYMENT (www.gc-employment.com) We are leading Ontario-based full cycle employment services agency based in Canada, providing premium human resource solutions to clients, large and small in a multitude of industries.
