Purpose and Scope: A Progressive Wireless Repair Company in Richmond Hill is looking for a Production Supervisor for its repair facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting the production and quality goals of the department, and ensuring that safe work practices and procedures are maintained and followed. You must be team oriented, possess a solid work history, good interpersonal skills and working knowledge of the wireless re-manufacturing process The Challenge: Actively resolve production issues. Increase labour efficiency, material efficiency and on-time delivery to customers. Establish quality, leadership, and safety in the workplace. Responsibilities: · Communicating material disposition to Operations management · Coordinating repair and/or return to vendor and interfacing with Quality Management to issue SCAR · Providing feedback to assembly operations and procurement teams to drive continuous yield/manufacturability improvement · Supporting new product ramp in new builds, debug, repair and analysis to expedite time to stable production · Providing mentoring and training to assembly staff to support improvements in product yield/manufacturability · Assessing test results; Root cause analysis and reporting on results · Works from schematics, drawing and test plans to perform trouble-shooting and hardware testing. Trouble-shooting and testing will involve analog, digital and/or RF circuits · Troubleshoots and solves customer in field failures · Utilizes test or diagnostic equipment including oscilloscope, DVM, signal generators and similar test apparatus, and may program and operate computer automated test stations · Assist the New Product Introduction Team (NPI) with investigation and selection of components/Bill of material(BOM) for production development or remanufacturing · Perform detailed analysis on mobile devices and/or future wires devices · Work closely with members of cross-functional teams (Quality Control, Software configuration, RF testing , product verification and validation (PV&V) team, and Inventory · Follows workplace operating and environmental, health and safety procedures and guidelines Requirement: · Electronic Engineering Technologist or equivalent · 3-5 years related experience in a Hardware Manufacturing environment would be an asset · Excellent knowledge to production planning and monitoring · Working knowledge to lean manufacturing, QMS and 5S · Working knowledge of yield management methodologies, RCA , 8D and ECOs · Working knowledge of schematics, drawings, specifications · Excellent communication skills (written and oral) · Excellent team and collaboration skills · Experience in telecom industry would be an asset · Knowledge of the Employment Standard Act (Ontario) would be an asset · Location: Richmond Hill (Hwy7/Leslie) · Salary: 35-40K
