The Controller is responsible for overall financial administration of the plant and will report to the Vice President of Finance. As a member of the plant leadership team, the Plant Controller will contribute to effective and efficient plant management, both financial and operational.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, and preferably a CPA certificate.
• Candidate should be proficient with US GAAP, accounting knowledge specific to
manufacturing.
• 5 years experience with increasing responsibilities in accounting.
• Must meet deadlines and deliver quality results.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Proficient with MS Office skills particularly Excel, Word, Power-Point.
• JD Edwards preferred, but not required.
• Strong inventory control and cost accounting background.
• Must have excellent analytical communication skills, be well organized and a team Player
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist plant management in the decision making process that allows for profit
maximization or cost minimization.
• Communicate with plant personnel and observe plant operations in order to assist with
and to make recommendation for improvement in plant operations.
• Implement procedures to insure that all company financial policies are followed and to
insurer that adequate internal controls are in place.
• Manage the General Ledger, Cost, Inventory, Fixed Assets.
• Prepare quarterly, monthly, and periodic Financial Reports and Analysis for submission
to Divisional Management.
• Monitor, approve, and analyze all plant spending.
• Preparation of capital requests including appropriate economic analysis when required
and assure backup documentation is adequate.
• Prepare supporting schedules for the annual audit to assist the external auditors.
• Prepare periodic reports to analyze costing and labor efficiencies.
• Oversee and participate in the creation for the quarterly forecasts and annual budget.
• Preparation of quarterly and annual regulatory filings.
• Work closely with the staff, perpetuate a positive, team-oriented, continuous
improvement environment, and provide the coaching and motivation necessary for
plant and personal success.
• Special projects as assigned.
SALARY: 100K-120K
