Banking Service Officer II

Our client, a leading Canadian banking institution, is looking for service officers to join their market commercial and small business banking team. We are looking for new grads with finance and accounting backgound. 

Contract term: 2018-02-19 to 2018-08-17 (6 Months), possible extension and conversion

Pay Rate: $ 17.34/hour – English. Bilingual $18.34

Full-time: 37.5 hours 

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm or 11am-7pm; some flexibility and overtime may be required

MUST HAVE:

Ability to read and understand financial statements, including consolidated statements and inter company transactions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Keen attention to detail
Ability to work in a high pressure environment while ensuring work is of high quality.

Job Requirements:
• Read and understand company financial statements (company prepared, notice to reader, review engagement and audited).
• Education or work experience with a specialization in accounting preferred.
• Working knowledge of standard Microsoft desktop software, specifically Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Working knowledge of Adobe.
• Moody's Risk Analyst preferred.
• Problem solving ability.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and inter-personal skills.
• Bilingual in French and English would be an asset.

EDUCATION:
High school education required. Post-secondary required. Finance/Math/Accounting (any quantitative) degree would be an asset
